Teachers

Knowing the subject is not enough.

A child needs someone they are not afraid to say ‘I don’t know’ to. What matters is how a teacher explains, responds to mistakes, senses the child’s pace and whether a real connection develops.

A good teacher is more than a diploma

Even an excellent specialist will not suit every child. And that is normal.

  • Knows the subject

  • Can explain in different ways

  • Does not punish mistakes

  • Feels the child’s pace

Find a teacher

If the connection is not there, it is not a problem

A teacher can be changed without awkwardness or guilt. The goal is to find someone the child can genuinely move forward with.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How is a teacher selected?

By subject and experience — but not only. The child’s level, task, pace, way of learning and human connection all matter. That is why there is an introduction before regular lessons begin.

Can we choose a teacher ourselves?

Yes. You can tell us whom you would like to meet. If another specialist may fit the task better, we will explain why and offer an option — the final decision still belongs to the family.

What if the child does not like the teacher?

There is no need to convince a child that they ‘must get used to it’. First, it is worth understanding what felt uncomfortable. If there is no connection, the child can meet another teacher.

Can we change the teacher later?

Yes. The reason may be more than personal connection: the task, level or schedule may change, or another specialisation may be needed. The learning route can be adjusted together.

What happens during the 30-minute introduction?

It is not an exam or a graded test. The teacher gets to know and listen to the child, and may offer a small task to see the starting point. At the same time, the child can feel whether the explanations and communication are comfortable.

Sometimes you recognise ‘your’ teacher in the first conversation.
